I love combining different shades of the same color. It's an easy way to create a polished looking outfit, and is great for when you are lacking in outfit inspiration. Pair up a shirt/vest, or blouse/sweater in the same color family for an easy outfit. I have seen a lot of 'sleeveless coats' lately; but this one is a fav. I love the draped structure. Also- these boots!! I had been looking for months for a pair of OTK boots when I came across these for under $50. I was sold by the gold detailing!

I had such an amazing weekend. I went to a 90s dance party, spent a night with friends having a delicious homemade dinner and watching movies, and went to a Holiday tea event. Bring it on Monday! If you're feeling a bit blah, or have a case of the Monday blues, be sure to check out this week's Monday Must Read which I post weekly on facebook & twitter. This week's is a great read on how to look forward to Mondays!

I have exciting giveaway news! Come on back to LLB tomorrow - yes, tomorrow- I am adding a special Tuesday post for this! I will be announcing a whole bunch of giveaways, with the first one starting tomorrow!

Rodan & Fields

**PhotographyJayJay Photography**
Similar Chambray Shirt // Jeans (my favorite skinnies!)

Today I want to talk to you about skincare. I recently have fallen in love with Rodan & Fields. Most of you probably don't know that I have struggled with my skin my entire life. I had TERRIBLE acne in middle school - so much so, that between the 6th and 10th grades I was on three different acne medications - including the really serious Acutane. I still struggle with breakouts, but being in my late twenties, I now also have concerns such as preventing & treating wrinkles. Enter Rodan & Fields!

Rodan & Fields was created by two dermatologists (the ones who created Proactiv) and, as such, the line is backed by medically sound knowledge and expertise. R&F is now the 4th most popular skincare line in the United States, and, luckily for us Canadians, it is now (finally) in Canada!

I was introduced to the Rodan & Fields UNBLEMISH line. Unblemish is great for women like myself who still fight breakouts, but want to start ensuring their skin ages well. My current skincare regimen is: the UNBLEMISH three step routine (face wash, toner, acne treatment), the REDEFINE eye cream, and the ACUTE CARE strips - All in the evening. In the mornings, I simply rinse my face and apply sunscreen

While I have been extremely impressed by the UNBLEMISH line, by far I am most impressed with the ACUTE CARE strips. I have been using these awesome lil band-aid looking guys for a week *only one week* and can see a major difference. These have been nicknamed "at home botox" since they are a topical, at home way to treat wrinkles- but give the results of botox (without the horrible side effect of a fake, frozen looking face!) I am extremely self-conscious about 3 wrinkles I have on my forehead. I have been using the Acute strips on these and the results are already visible!

My photos from day 1 and yesterday (day 7):

Because I am a semi-crazy person who can't seem to stop taking on new things, I have officially become a Rodan & Fields consultant! You can purchase any of the products off of my webpage here. There is a "solution tool" that determines what skincare regime is best for your personal skincare needs. I highly recommend using this tool.

If you have any questions about any Rodan & Fields products I would be more than happy to answer them. You can leave me comments below, email me, or message me through my Rodan & Fields website. I am also looking to add more women to my team of consultants so if you are interested in learning more about this, please let me know! If you are in Canada this is a particularly huge and exciting opportunity (find out why by asking me!)

Thanks so much (as always) for reading everyone! I hope to see you back here on Monday for a new outfit post. Have a great weekend! And to my American friends - happy belated Thanksgiving! Hope you had an amazing day yesterday!

On Friday I showed you a laid back 'after work' outfit, and today I wanted to show you another one! This dress is such a great fall staple - add some fall boots and you're good to go! Fashion simplicity at it's finest. I love that this dress is lined and that it is slightly longer than I expected. I can easily wear it even without tights, without worrying at all.

I got this dress using a new online shopping experience called
Brandzaffair. Have you heard of it? Brandzaffair is an online platform that allows you to shop your favourite brands and stores via their website - which, while using those big name stores, gives you a personalized shopping experience. You can see up to the date sales at any stores you want - searching by various criteria. You can also search by brands using their Brandzaffair Bargains feature. With this you can look up a specific brand, such as Lush, and see what Lush items are on sale across various store websites! This is such a time saver if you want to get the best deal on something without having to shop around!

Everyone ready to take on another work week? This weekend seemed to fly by for me! This was a busy weekend with friends birthdays/going away parties, an alumnae event at my alma mater and a little Vancouver blogger get together at my place. I also had a great dance class on Saturday - our teacher gave us choreography to Adele's "Hello" so I was beyond happy.Have a great start to your week and I hope to see you back here on Wednesday! In the meantime, be sure to follow along on instagram facebook.

Cozy Fall

*photography by: jayjay photography* - follow on instagram

Lately when I get home from work all I want to do is curl up under ten blankets wearing sweatpants. The "socially acceptable alternative" that I have come to as a compromise, is a cotton dress or tunic with leggings and a blanket scarf.

I am in love with this dress. The slight fit-and-flare shape, the 3/4 sleeves and the (fake) button front all add great detail to the world's easiest 'throw on and go' outfit. Be warned though that if you are tall (like me) this dress is definitely a tunic and not actually a dress.

I hope you all have a great Friday and fun weekend ahead. I need to take some time this weekend to de-stress so I think I'll be spending a lot of time in dance classes and walking on the sea wall (if the weather cooperates!) See you back here on Monday!

Wednesday Wants - Holiday Items for YOU

The Christmas season is almost upon us and I have seen so many great items coming up in stores that I think all you amazing, hard working, fashionista women need in your life. As I said the Elf Sweater is by far my favourite holiday item. It's actually a men's sweater, but I tried it on in stores and because of that it's longer and actually can be worn as a (short) tunic with leggings! I also think that a quality festive sweater (like this embellished mock neck one) is an essential element of every woman's work wardrobe.

Are you all getting in to the holiday spirit yet?! I must admit I started playing the Spotify Christmas music after work Monday night and am already dreaming of candy cane hot chocolate.

Two reminders before I leave you guys to dreams of the holiday season:

1) If you missed Monday's post about how you can get involved in a new work wear clothing line (that has such great pieces) check it out here!!

2) I have twitter now!! Be sure to follow me here to stay up to date on my LLB posts and fashion news. I also share my "Monday Must Read" every week!

See you back here on Friday. Until then, have a great week!

Work Chic & Introducing Bowery & Fourth

what-to-wear-with-olive-green-outfit*photos by: JayJay Photography*

This Monday work outfit features my go-to pants paired with a gorgeous olive blazer from Dynamite. I added leopard print heels just to add a bit more drama to the look. Speaking of work outfits, I am so excited today because I get to introduce you to Bowery & Fourth - a new line of work wear for women.

My personal fashion icon, Coco Chanel, once said that "Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance". Coco's wise words come to mind when I see Bowery & Fourth's attire. I see elegant lines and a classic yet contemporary style which is perfect for every career woman. This collection- aptly named the "Urban Gentlewoman"- offers staple pieces that every modern business woman should have in their work wardrobe. There are suits, pants, skirts and blouses - all with sleek lines and beautiful fabric.

I am collaborating with Bowery & Fourth to bring this collection to the market- and I hope you will want to join me!! In order to do a full production run of the Urban Gentlewoman, they are currently running a kickstarter campaign. You can be part of this campaign - and get involved with this really cool new line, by pledging! You can pledge as little as $1.50! Each pledge comes with a reward. You can see all of the rewards here!

On to the BEST PART:

If you pledge $65 or more, in addition to the rewards that are listed, you will also get a complimentary lace bodice (see it on the kickstarter page) because you are a reader of LLB! Simply include ‘LegalLeeBlonde’ in the message field that appears after you make your pledge.

I am so genuinely excited about the gorgeous clothes by Bowery & Fourth. I have also had the great privilege of getting to know the fabulous (and funny!) designer behind the line, Sarah. I can tell you that she is hardworking, and understands women's wants and needs in their clothes. This line is going to be amazing!

I hope you consider contributing DON'T FORGET to write LegalLeeBlonde in the message field if you do! I'd love to hear in the comments below if you end up pledging! As well, I'd love to I want to hear what pieces you like best. I want to personally thank each and every one of you who pledges.
